Apprenticeships in Equine

The Level 2 Equine Groom is ideal if you have minimal horse care experience, and provides a solid footing to your equine career. The Level 3 Senior Equine Groom is for those with an established knowledge of working with horses in a busy environment and focuses on advanced horse care skills and knowledge.

Train for rewarding career in horse care

The equine industry is a rewarding sector filled with numerous career opportunities and is perfect for someone who wants to work with horses. Equine apprenticeships offer you the opportunity to work with reputable employers whilst obtaining the same level qualification you would attain if you went to college full time. We are proud to partner with well-regarded employers to offer you the very best chance to succeed in the equine industry.

Develop a solid foundation in horse care skills

Our equine apprenticeships provide a solid foundation in horse care where you will develop a variety of skills and advance your level of horse care, alongside developing the ability to coordinate the daily care of horses.

This is completed through a one-day release at the College's Common Leys Farm campus and in partnership with employers. Our equine apprenticeships can be tailored to different specialisms including riding, yard-based (non-riding) and breeding. With our unique on-site stud you will have the opportunity to get practical experience with mares and foals; and our equestrian and events centre provides a range of horses and ponies for you to develop your skills with.
