Our Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction T-Level will provide you with the skills and knowledge for a career in the modern construction industry, including roles in surveying and design, civil engineering, building design, and building services.
The Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction T-Level will give you the opportunity to develop your knowledge and understanding of a wide range of design, surveying, and planning methods in the modern construction industry. The course includes an industrial placement in which you have the chance to apply the skills and knowledge in a real-life working environment.
An excellent alternative to A-levels, this T Level programme can lead to exciting career opportunities in civil engineering, building design, and building services.
During the 2-year programme, students will learn the core knowledge and skills for entry into a range of construction occupations, learning the fundamentals of planning, building, and modern methods of construction. Through project-based learning, you will work on real-life case studies in collaboration with construction employers, gaining valuable hands-on experience.
In the first year you will develop a general understanding of construction, including health and safety, the science behind building design, surveying and planning, and construction design principles and processes. You will also learn about topics specific to design, surveying and planning, including project management. In your second year you will choose an occupational specialism, such as surveying and design or civil engineering.
