and this December, we’re adding a sprinkle of holiday magic by introducing Abingdon & Witney College’s Advent Calendar 2024 🎅.
We offer a Foundation Degree in Animal Therapy & Rehabilitation which can be converted into a BSc with our one-year top up course.
This course is provided in partnership with Oxford Brookes University and you will receive a qualification awarded by the University.
Our partnership means that you can now study flexibly at a location convenient to you with a course that fits in with your lifestyle.
Taking your Oxford Brookes University degree at Abingdon & Witney College means you will benefit from a strong academic partnership that brings together the best of both institutions. In addition to the facilities and support offered here at the College, you can have full access to Oxford Brookes University’s resources.
On the FdSc and BSc course, you will study the principles of animal behaviour, welfare, and ethics alongside studying essential animal scientific theories.
Your learning will be practical and hands-on as you gain at least 240 hours experience working in the industry and develop practical animal husbandry and handling skills.
As you progress through the course, you will begin to explore the complexities of therapy methods in a diverse range of contextualised scenarios; such as animal disease and health, principles of hydrotherapy, emergency management, and practical therapy techniques.
