4th Sept 2026
A new academic year is here, and we’re looking forward to welcoming our returning students back to college and meeting everyone joining us for the first time.
As you step on campus, we want your start to the new year to be as easy and simple as possible, and we hope you are looking forward to meeting new friends, and making the most of what college has to offer.
When does my course start?
Your induction week takes place from 7th – 11th September 2026. Before Monday 7th, you should have received an email from us with information about your start date, campus, classroom and what you need to know for your first day. If you haven’t seen it, check your junk or spam folder and make sure you regularly check the email address you used when applying. If you’re still unsure about when or where you need to be, don’t worry. Our staff will be on hand to help.
Where do I go on my first day?
When you arrive at college, staff will be available to welcome you and help you find your way around. Make sure you have your classroom information to hand, as this will help our team direct you to the right place. If you’re not sure where to go, simply ask a member of staff.
Who can I ask for help?
Starting somewhere new can feel a little daunting, particularly on your first day. If you have a question, however small, please ask. Our staff are here to help you settle in and make your first few days as easy as possible. Look out for staff wearing black lanyards. They’ll be able to help with directions, answer questions and point you towards the right person or service if you need further support.
Get involved in college life
There’s more to college than your course. September is a great opportunity to meet new people, try something different and discover everything college has to offer.
Keep an eye out for our Freshers' Events coming up in the first few weeks of term, where you can meet other students and find out more about life at college. You can also get involved through Student Voice First, giving you the opportunity to share your views and help shape the student experience. And, throughout your time with us, remember our expectations: Be Ready, Be Respectful and Be Safe.
Not sure you’re on the right course?
If you’ve started your course and don’t feel that it’s the right choice for you, it’s not too late to talk to us about your options. Speak to a member of staff who can discuss your situation and help you understand whether another course might be a better fit. You can also explore our full-time courses online.
