The latest National Student Survey (NSS) data has revealed that Abingdon & Witney College have been rated on average 5 percentage points higher than the national benchmark in higher education providers in the UK, according to student feedback.
The Survey, run by the Office for Students (OfS), gathers statistics on key features of the students’ higher education experience, including quality of teaching, access to resources, and level of academic support.
Alongside this excellent overall result, we are incredibly proud to highlight that:
We also received some fantastic feedback from our students:
“The tutors are incredible at supporting the students through the highs and lows. They are always ready to cheer us on and ensure that we can focus on seeing the assignments through. Without the incredible support of them, this would not be possible. Our tutor’s enthusiasm motivates everyone and she has an incredible skill set that engages everyone and makes us feel like we can do anything!”
“The support from our lecturers is amazing, couldn't really ask for any more from them, they all work super hard and are really dedicated to go the extra mile for us. The level of teaching, particularly in our final year, has been brilliant and all lecturers have different but equally effective approaches.”
Abingdon & Witney College enrols over 200 undergraduate level students every year across its three campuses into Foundation Degree, BSc Honours, Higher National and professional qualifications. Our A – Z of courses, from Accounting to Zoology, ensures that there is a route for individuals of all ages who wish to progress into higher levels of study.
Rebecca Philbrook, Head of Higher Education said “We are completely thrilled with this result. We are proud of our approach to local undergraduate level delivery; through small class sizes, 1 to 1 support for our learners and high quality teaching and learning opportunities and we are pleased that this is reflected in the satisfaction levels of our learners.”
