Unlock the world of woodworking with our adult evening class focused on basic carpentry and joinery tasks! Whether you’re a DIY enthusiast looking to enhance your home, or someone interested in pursuing woodworking as a hobby or career, this course is perfect for beginners.
Throughout the programme, you’ll delve into essential carpentry and joinery techniques, including:

1. Introduction to common woodworking tools and their uses.2. Understanding different types of wood and their properties.3. Basic measurement and layout techniques.4. Cutting and shaping wood accurately.5. Joinery methods such as butt joints and lap joints.6. Assembling basic woodworking projects.

Under the guidance of skilled instructors, you’ll engage in hands-on exercises and projects designed to develop your skills and confidence in carpentry and joinery. This course will hopefully give you the confidence to tackle household woodworking tasks. This class will provide you with the foundational knowledge you need to get started.
