This course is designed for young adults who have an EHCP (Education Health and Care Plan) who wish to develop further their independence and explore adult working life and achieve an Entry 2 qualification.
Students will be able to work towards appropriate math's and English qualifications alongside completing an accredited employability qualification at entry 2. On the course students will also have the opportunity to improve their cooking skills, take part in sports activities, complete relevant work experience, and engage in the college’s core programme aimed at learning about the world around them.

Also embedded in the programme is social enterprise where students could visit projects like Ernest Cook and Propeller to get involved and transfer the skills learned in the classroom to a work environment

What next?
At an appropriate time depending on progress made against EHCP outcomes, students could transition on to Developing Skills for Employment Entry 3 or adult learning.
Entry criteria
No formal entry requirements however all students are required to have an Education Health & Care Plan that is supported by their Local Authority, and places on any course are subject to the LA agreeing to fund placement.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
