Are you currently working as a therapist and are looking to expand your skillset into the growing Level 4 Aesthetics market? Are you already working with laser and IPL systems but are concerned about the imminent government regulation changes that require you to hold an accredited qualification? Are you maybe thinking of a career change? If any of those ring true, then this is the course for you. Working together with high end medical grade laser and IPL systems from renowned Lynton Lasers, we will provide extensive training and support in this field that will allow you to feel competent and safe once working out in industry.
This qualification is informed by employers and national occupational standards for beauty therapy and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a LASER and Intense Pulsed Light Systems practitioner, specialising in hair growth reduction and skin rejuvenation. Learners must achieve all mandatory units, which include:
• Perform hair growth reduction using LASER systems
• Perform hair growth reduction using Intense Pulsed Light systems
• Perform skin rejuvenation using LASER systems
• Perform skin rejuvenation using Intense Pulsed Light systems
Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology and health and safety pertaining to level 4 aesthetic therapies. They will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to communicate, consult with and analyse clients for treatment, whilst honing their customer service skills

Entry criteria
You must be 18 years or older and hold a recognised Level 3 Beauty Therapy qualification which must include Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology.
Alternatively, the new VTCT Level 3 Entry to Aesthetics qualification is the entry route for those new to the beauty industry or seeking a career change.
A successful interview must also be achieved.

Learning & method assessment
To be awarded this qualification, learners must successfully achieve the following assessments:
• Course work/portfolio evidence
• Case studies/portfolio evidence
• Summative practical assessments
The teaching team will guide and support you fully to build your confidence and experience when providing these specialist advanced services. You will work on live models throughout.
You will also build an online portfolio of written work and client case studies.
User skills
Throughout this qualification, learners will develop their knowledge and understanding of relevant anatomy and physiology and health and safety pertaining to level 4 aesthetic therapies. They will also develop the knowledge, understanding and skills to communicate, consult with and analyse clients for treatment, whilst honing their customer service skills.
