This course builds on the skills and knowledge gained in Stage Four, helping you further develop your techniques and explore your own photographic style.
This stage five continues to develop and apply techniques and knowledge gained from the previous stages.

A variety of photographic genres will be explored including Still Life, Landscape, Abstraction, Portraiture and Street Photography.Learners will be given the opportunity to try out their responses to these themes both through set homework and class discussion.One of the main learning objectives of this course is to help the learner discover the type of photography that they are really interested inand provide them with the skills to help them pursue it.

You will need to bring your own DSLR camera.

There will be no class during half-term. Parking is available on Campus. Should the car park be full please use Marriotts Walk or Woodford Way car parks which are a few minutes' walk away.Please report to Reception on arrival. A photo-id will be issued for you to wear when attending classes.Vending machines are available.

Entry criteria
There are no formal entry requirements for this course for those who have completed the Colleges stage four or equivalent, or for those who have a good understanding of aperture, shutter speed and ISO and can use their cameras in manual mode.

Please note - you should be 19 years old or over at 31st August 2026 prior to starting the course.
