Abingdon CampusRecognised and sought after by employers on a global scale, Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) qualifications provide professionals with the underpinning knowledge and skills necessary to go far in the Human Resource and Learning and Development career pathways.
This qualification is suitable for those who have completed a CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in People Practice and are working in practice at a supervisory level or for those who have worked in practice at a supervisory level for a number of years. It is aimed at further expanding learners’ independent practice to enable them to evolve into more senior roles within organisations as people professionals. Learners’ work will be mainly operational with some complexity. They will contribute to the thinking around their work, analysing information to inform choices and actions. Working with and influencing others through their work will create short-term value for a wider audience. Using a framework of HR and L&D understanding, behaviours and skills development, this qualification offers opportunity for learners to transition to employment as people managers.

Students must also join the CIPD as a studying member. The joining fee is £40 and an annual subscription of £92 whilst studying – this is paid directly to CIPD and this fee is correct at the time of printing.
You may also be invited to attend a CIPD student conference. This would be at the students’ expense and is currently £36 plus VAT for a member.
As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
There are bursaries available to help you with other course costs. Call 01235 216 212 for more information.
The rules on fee reduction are complicated and we would encourage you to talk to our Admissions staff on 01235 555 585 to discuss your options. You can find more information on our Fees and Bursaries page - search "Fees and Bursaries" at the top of the page.
