Learn how to give a facial massage to yourself and to friends and family. Ayurveda is the ancient Indian ‘philosophy of life’ which includes massage as a means of maintaining health and wellness.

In order to avoid disappointment, it is advisable to enrol at least 2½ weeks prior to the course starting. We will confirm course information two weeks prior to the start date.

Who is this course for?

Anyone who has an interest in learning about the Ayurvedic system of Doshas or constitutional types. It is based on the concept that general health and wellness rely on a delicate balance between mind, body and spirit.

What the course will cover:

You will have the opportunity to find out more about the Ayurvedic system of Doshas or constitutional types. You can discover your Dosha and some tips for maintaining balance. There will be the chance to learn about Marma points or energy centres which are located throughout the body and learn the location of the Marma points on the face. You will be able to give a facial massage that can release stagnant energy from these areas.

Please bring a cushion or pillow, a hand towel and a large towel and wear comfortable clothing. If you have a facial oil that you use at home, please bring it. A selection will also be provided on the day. Please wear minimal or no makeup.

Course Outcomes

By the end of this course you will be able to:

• recognise what the Ayurvedic system of Doshas is;

• identify where the Marma points are located throughout the body;

• locate the Marma points on the face;

• give a facial massage.

There are no refreshments available on site. Please bring lunch and refreshments with you.

Free parking.
