This practical workshop is delivered by experienced industry trainers and will equip building professionals with the knowledge and skills required for airtightness strategies and weather tightness in domestic dwellings.

Delivered in our state-of-the-art Net Zero Skills Hub Training Centre.

Attendees will receive a technical presentation introducing the principles of airtightness and breathability in domestic dwellings. The trainer will provide case studies with a focus on domestic retrofit, followed by discussion of the challenges faced on site. The second part of the training will be a practical workshop using real-life training rigs.

Learning & method assessment
There is no formal exam. Attendees will benefit from a technical presentation, professional discussions, observations by the trainer, peer-to-peer learning, as well as various practical tasks on our state-of-the-art training rigs.
User skills
Learners will have a good grasp of why buildings should be made airtight during construction or refurbishment.

Learners will be able to use key terminology and specify, recommend and apply sealing systems effectively for different scenarios.

Attendees will now be able to apply techniques achieving airtightness and weather tightness in existing buildings as well as new buildings.
