Worcester College is seeking to recruit an Apprentice Gardener to join a small team working under the Head Gardener and Head of Grounds. This position offers the opportunity to learn varied horticultural practices from greenhouse nursery work, plant care and propagation, lawn and border maintenance and grounds maintenance work.

The team supports STFC to inspire and excite the public about our science and technology through events and activities. A key part of this is involving staff in events to give insight into their work. We are looking for someone to support us in coordinating early career staff involvement with public engagement events.  

The Skills Centre Team deliver STFC’s successful Apprenticeship, Graduate, Industrial Placement and Summer Placement Programmes which has up to 350 early careers staff on programme. We need someone with great attention to detail who can help coordinate programme activities and provide key admin support.

You will proactively support the Estates remit to deliver flexible, customer-focused and efficient services that support the delivery of STFC’s vision, values and objectives. From organising meetings and supporting teams to streamlining processes, you’ll play a key role in making things happen.
