Christmas can be a fun and exciting time, but it can also feel stressful, lonely or overwhelming. If the festive season is difficult for you, you’re not on your own - and support is always available.
You might feel pressure to have a “perfect” Christmas, worry about money or family, feel isolated, or find the change in routine hard. Lots of people feel this way, even if they don’t say it.
Talk to someone
Sharing how you feel can really help. If you can’t speak to friends or family, you can contact:
Both are confidential and there whenever you need them.
Take breaks
It’s okay to step away from social media, overwhelming situations or Christmas pressure. Take time to breathe, relax and do things you enjoy.
Keep active
Fresh air, short walks, stretching and looking after your body can boost your mood and energy.
Be kind to yourself
You don’t need to match anyone else’s idea of Christmas. Do what feels right for you.
