14th Mar 2023
This March, Abingdon & Witney College is proud to be supporting My Whole Self 2023; Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England’s campaign for workplace culture change. This year marks the fourth annual awareness day and celebrations fall on the 14th of March 2023.
The My Whole Self campaign was set up by MHFA England to advocate that no employer should leave any parts of their identity behind – be that their culture or ethnic background, gender identity, sexuality, disability, or health.
The campaign calls on organisations to empower employees to bring their ‘whole self’ to work and to support their own and other’s wellbeing. It celebrates how bringing together diversity and inclusion with health and wellbeing can drive positive transformation in workplace mental health and performance.
Abingdon & Witney College are proud to be a part of this movement; and this My Whole Self day, we will be sharing stories from our wellbeing champions and how they bring their ‘Whole Self’ to work.
“As Wellbeing Champions, we want to support all staff to bring their whole selves to work and enable them to ‘BE YOU. BE EXTRAORDINARY.’ The Champions at the College want to raise mental health awareness across the College to help destigmatise the topic and #MyWholeSelfie is a great opportunity to do this.” – Jennifer Collett, Wellbeing Champion.
