“Life is too short to not play guitar!” says new guitar tutor, Paolo Marelli

Introducing our new guitar tutor for our evening courses, Paolo Marelli. From the theatre pit to the recording studio, Paolo has worked in the music industry since 2004. An expert in technological music implementation, live looping, and transcription, they possess a wealth of knowledge gained from high-profile gigs, including the premier run of Everybody’s Talking about Jamie and session work with major labels like Time Records and Minimal Chic Studio.

Having spent years coaching bands, refining performance techniques, and grading assessments at institutions like BIMM University London, Paolo combines a deep knowledge of the guitar with a proven track record of helping students transition from the classroom to the professional stage.

An accomplished guitarist, educator, and sound engineer, Paolo brings over two decades of diverse industry experience to the classroom. A graduate of Tech Music School with a B(Mus) in Popular Music Performance and a CPM Milano alumnus, they have a rich background spanning live performance, session work, and studio production.

Highlights of their career include performing in the original run of the hit musical Everybody’s Talking about Jamie at the Crucible Theatre, collaborating with Italian dance labels like Time Records, and working as a freelance sound engineer for prestigious venues like Westminster Cathedral Hall. As a passionate educator, Paolo has mentored students at BIMM University London and Putney High School, specialising in performance technique, live looping, and ensemble coaching to help the next generation of musicians find their unique voice.

Paulo will be teaching Guitar - Jamming Session and Guitar – Advanced.
