Leanne Hughes and Elysia Martin, course leaders and lecturers in hairdressing and barbering, have worked in partnership with celebrity hairdresser Adee Phelan to donate salon and other care products to NHS staff.
“Adee Phelan and I had been in connection, as he had kindly recorded a motivational message for our students at the beginning of the college closure due to coronavirus.
After that, I saw he was doing an NHS fundraising project, where people would donate money and salons and suppliers were donating products. He had so much and needed people to help distribute these to the hospitals.
I then offered to collect boxes from his base in London for our hospitals, the John Radcliffe and the Churchill” - Leanne
