This Wednesday, we welcomed prospective students of the Oxford United Advanced Football Programme to the Oxford United Training Grounds in Horspath, for the first of our three trial days, scouting new talent to join us in September.
The afternoon kicked off with an introduction to the programme from Nathan Broadhurst, Director of OUFC Advanced, and James Constable, better known as ‘Beano’ to Oxford United fans, who serves as the Head of Player Care. George, Curriculum Manager at Abingdon & Witney College, followed - introducing the College Sports team and qualifications available to the students.
The eager players then had the opportunity to warm up on the training pitch alongside the Oxford United team before venturing onto the grounds for a series of test matches.
