Fancy turning your passion for film, TV, radio or digital media into a career? Our Media, Broadcast and Production T Level at Witney Campus gives you the chance to learn in facilities designed to mirror the industry, while building the practical skills and confidence employers are looking for.

Our first-year success rates are above the national average, with our students gaining the knowledge and experience to take their next steps into employment, higher-level study or university.

Learn in industry-standard facilities

At Witney, you’ll have access to a bespoke TV studio and control room, radio studio, green room, newly refurbished podcast suite and dedicated editing facilities.

Our multi-purpose Broadcasting Studio gives students the opportunity to produce HD-quality film and television across a range of formats, including multi-camera shows, interviews, commercials, music videos and green screen productions.

You’ll work with industry-standard cameras, lighting rigs, audio equipment and editing technology, learning the full production process from pre-production through to filming and post-production.

Lecturer Ian Marsh is an experienced writer, producer, director and editor, with around 30 years working in the TV industry as a freelance producer, director and editor. His background gives him a clear understanding of the skills, equipment and professional workflows students need to prepare for a career in media.

Get hands-on with live briefs

The course isn’t just about learning in the classroom. Students regularly work on projects with real clients. A recent campaign with Thames Valley Police explored the dangers of drink and drug driving.

Students worked in groups to develop ideas, create storyboards, and produce content in response to a professional brief.

For second-year student Harrison, the practical nature of the course was a major reason for choosing T Level over A Levels.

“I really love this course because it fits my needs for my future more than A Levels did. It helped me experiment and do more hands-on work, which A Levels wouldn’t have allowed me to do. The Lecturers and Technicians are also very patient and always willing to listen to your ideas and help you bring them to life.”

Fellow student Jacob has also gained experience across different roles, including directing, acting and editing, and is now considering progressing into media production or film at university.

Media is based in the Queen Emma Building alongside our Games Development and Art and Design courses, with Music also nearby. This creates a vibrant creative environment where students studying different disciplines can meet one another, share ideas, and cross-collaborate on projects.
