We are delighted to announce that the Abingdon & Witney College AAT Team have been nominated for the Team of the Year award within the Medium Training Provider category at the 2024 AAT Training Provider of the Year awards.
The AAT team were nominated for their “unwavering commitment to the success of their students and their exceptional dedication [which is] inspirational and truly sets them apart”; and recognised as “determined to ensure the maximum success of their students, going above and beyond to provide comprehensive support and guidance.”
Abingdon & Witney College offers AAT Training from Level 1 to Level 4 as part of their adult education provision. The courses are available at both Abingdon and Witney Campuses, with classes running in the daytime and evening.
The department has played a pivotal role in helping many individuals make their career switch to working in finance and becoming a bookkeeper or accountant. The department has previously been recognised by the AAT in 2020, when it was recognised as Large Training Provider of the Year and in 2019 when tutor Karen Walker was crowned AAT Tutor of the Year.
Within the nomination, one of the team’s greatest strengths – their calibre of tutors – was also highlighted: “They are highly knowledgeable, experienced professionals who excel in their respective fields. Their expertise and dedication to teaching make them invaluable resources for their students, providing them with the guidance and mentorship needed to succeed.
The AAT Team's passion for education, their commitment to student success, and their ability to adapt to change make them truly deserving of the Team of the Year award. Their teamwork and unwavering dedication serve as an inspiration to their students and colleagues alike.”
Following their nomination, Peter Thompson, Head of Apprenticeships and Professional Training shared the following: “I am so proud of our fantastic AAT team and the way that they teach and support the accountants of the future. They are always striving to deliver the best quality whilst challenging our students to achieve outstanding results. This nomination recognises the hard work that goes into creating that successful partnership.”
Congratulations to the AAT team for your hard work and dedicated to achieving the extraordinary.
