This advanced-level course is designed to help you refine your language skills, communicate with confidence, and engage fluently across academic, professional, and social contexts.
In this course, you will make significant progress at an advanced level, developing the ability to understand complex texts and express yourself fluently, accurately, and effortlessly. You will deepen your understanding of language structure and nuance, enabling you to use the language efficiently and flexibly in a wide range of situations.

The course explores a broad range of advanced topics and encourages thoughtful discussion and critical analysis. You will build confidence in both formal and informal communication while engaging in complex conversations and debates.

Topics covered include: • Understanding and producing formal and informal speech in academic, professional, and social contexts

• Analysing and discussing literary works, films, music, and other art forms

• Narrating past events clearly and effectively

• Discussing and debating global events and current affairs. Facilities at Abingdon Campus: • Vending machines and Costa Coffee shop (open until 7pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays during term time)

• Watercoolers available for refilling water bottles

• Free parking

What next?
Spanish - Natural Conversational Fluency Level C
Entry criteria
Students must have completed the Improving Fluency courses or have studied Spanish for a sufficient amount of time to engage in conversations with native speakers effortlessly and understand moderately complex texts. They should possess an intermediate proficiency in the language, meaning they can communicate effectively in everyday situations, express opinions on familiar topics, and understand both concrete and abstract texts. This course approximates to a Level B2 of the Common European Framework.
Fee information
A text book is used to accompany the course but it is optional to buy this (average cost £20 - £25). The text book will support your learning for at least 1 year. You may also like to buy a small dictionary. Your tutor will be able to advise you at the first session.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
