1. Introduction to Jewellery and Silversmithing (30 minutes)
Overview of the workshop and safety briefing
Introduction to silversmithing and jewellery-making tools and materials
Discussion on design ideas and sketching concepts
2. Shaping and Sawing (1 hour)
Transferring designs onto silver
Using a jewellery saw to cut out the pendant shape
Filing and refining edges
3. Texturing and Decoration (1 hour)
Experimenting with hammering, stamping, and engraving techniques
Adding decorative elements such as cut-outs or patterns
4. Soldering and Assembly (1.5 hours)
Introduction to soldering basics and flux application
Attaching design components or bails
Cleaning and preparing the pendant for finishing
5. Polishing and Finishing (1.5 hours)
Using polishing techniques to achieve desired finishes (matte, high shine, oxidised)
Adding final touches and ensuring smooth edges
6. Final Review and Showcase (30 minutes)
Reviewing completed pieces
Group discussion and feedback
