A bright, creative embroidery course exploring simple stitches, nature‑inspired designs and mindful making for adults wanting a colourful, relaxed crafting space.
This uplifting course celebrates the colours and energy of spring. You’ll learn simple embroidery stitches, explore playful motifs inspired by nature, and work on easy, enjoyable projects designed to help you relax. No sewing experience is needed — just come along and enjoy stitching in a friendly, chilled atmosphere.

The course includes: - Introduction to the basics: fabric, hoops, threads and tools - Simple stitches such as chain stitch, whip stitch, French knots, and decorative lines - Nature‑inspired motifs (flowers, leaves, insects, simple shapes) - Creating colourful mini projects like bookmarks, patches, hoop art or simple textile cards - Combining colours, texture and pattern with confidence - Mindful stitching exercises for focus and relaxation - Flexible personal project options

There will be no class during half-term.Parking is available on Campus. Should the car park be full please use Marriotts Walk or Woodford Way car parks which are a few minutes' walk away.Please report to Reception on arrival. A photo-id will be issued for you to wear when attending classes.Vending machines are available.

Entry criteria
Open to all adults — complete beginners are warmly welcomed. No previous embroidery or crafting knowledge is required. We aim to make the course accessible to everyone. If you have physical, visual or learning support needs, please let us know so that any adjustments or adapted tools can be arranged.

Please note - you should be 19 years old or over at 31st August 2026 prior to starting the course.

Fee information
Course resources will be provided. This course includes a material fee that provides essential resources and hands-on demonstrations, empowering you to achieve your learning goals and master new skills with confidence.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
