Sewing Introductory Workshop into Sewing – Create a Tote Bag is a friendly and relaxed half day workshop where you can learn to design and create a simple Tote Bag.
On this workshop, you will be taught how to:-(1) Measure and cut out fabric safely.(2) Use basic hand and machine sewing stitches.(3) Follow instructions to make your bag.

Sewing machines are provided but you may wish to bring your own including the manual.

You will need to purchase some medium printed cotton of your choice;Fabric width between 112cms -150cms need a length of 75cms plus matching or contrast sewing thread.

Please bring your basic sewing kit with you: Fabric scissors, small embroidery scissors Or Rotary cutters plus cutting board and ruler (if you prefer to use these instead of scissors) Sewing needles Tacking thread Tape measure Colour headed pins Fabric marking pen or chalk pencil.

£10 consumables fee.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
