Create a Tote Bag in a friendly and relaxed half day workshop where you can design and create a simple Tote Bag.
Sewing machines are available, but you may bring your own machine.

This workshop will cover:1. The measuring and cutting of fabric safely.2. The use of basic hand and machine sewing stitches.3. Simple instructions on how to make your bag.

You will need to purchase some medium weight printed cotton of your choice.Fabric width between 112cms and 150cms wide - your will need 75cms plus matching sewing thread (120’s spun polyester)

Plus, you will need a basic sewing kit:Fabric scissors, paper scissor, colour headed dressmaking pins, sewing needles, tape measure, tailors chalk or fabric marking pens, tacking thread.

NB. If you are bringing your sewing machine, please ensure it is in full working order and you have the manual, foot peddle and attachments with you.

What next?
You can progress on to any sewing courses or workshops in Oxfordshire Adult Learning.
Entry criteria
Basic knowledge on how to use a sewing machine.

Please note - you should be 19 years old or over at 31st August 2026 prior to starting the course.

Fee information
As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
