Have you wondered how blouse and shirt patterns are constructed from a set of measurements? Then this course is for you if want to see the process unfold by drafting a block to fit yourself.
This weekend course covers all aspects of flat pattern cutting to enable you to draft a bodice and sleeve block using your body measurements. You will make and fit a toile. Learn pattern adaptations (moving darts, collars, sleeves and openings) and how to draft style lines to get the latest look for your own design and before making scaled pattern. During this two-day workshop you will learn to take body measurements accurately and using these measurements draft a bodice block and sleeve block. A toile is made and fitted. Before completing pattern, adaptation exercises and producing a scaled blouse or top pattern your chosen design. NB: A requirement for this workshop is that you would have made blouses and shirts previously using a commercial pattern.
