Then careers in the Uniformed Services industry may be just for you! Fitness, teamwork and communication are some of the many skills you will develop on this course.
This course provides students with the fundamental skills and current knowledge of the uniformed protective services sector. It allows learners to access higher education in uniformed services and related areas, and ultimately for learners to progress to employment in the uniformed protective services. This reflects the shift towards increased graduate employment in the sector, for example in the police service.The course offers a mix of skills and knowledge that will prepare you for working within the Uniformed Services and/or sport industry. These include adventurous activities, working in teams, dealing with the public, keeping the right level of fitness, jobs within Uniformed Services and expeditions.

What next?
The qualification carries UCAS points and is recognised by higher-education providers as contributing to admission requirements for many relevant courses as it is equivalent to 3 A-Levels. Upon completion of the full 2-year programme learners can progress to higher education in a range of disciplines, employment or apprenticeships within the uniformed protective services.
Entry criteria
5 GCSEs at grade 4 including English or Maths OR a pass in the subject at level 2, with English and Maths not lower than a grade 3/Functional Skills L2 and at least grade 4 in one of English or Maths.
Fee information
A fee of approximately £70 for uniform will need to be paid directly to the supplier. Further information on this will be given during induction.Study trips and visits linked to modules are arranged as part of your programme of study. Fees regarding these trips are listed below with further advisement upon the start of the course.
