Abingdon CampusWhat you can expect on the course:* To explore the creative process of printmaking. * The use of available learning resources: smartboard, reproductions, handouts and sketches to develop your visual thinking. * To learn about printmaking and its history. * To use drawing to research, develop and record ideas. * To apply visual language: line, pattern, shape, form, tonal value, colour and texture in relation to composition of printmaking project. * To express your creative ideas through group discussion. * The exploration and development of your personal style.
For the first session please bring A4 cartridge paper and your usual drawing equipment.
Your tutor will advise on further materials and equipment you may need as the course progresses.
Please note there are no classes during half term.
The course content includes: * Composition. * Introduction to colour theory. * Printmaking materials and techniques. * Experiments with style.
Please note - you should be 19 years old or over at 31st August 2026 prior to starting the course.
As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
