The NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care is an introductory qualification that offers learners a basic understanding of the adult social care sector.
It is suitable for individuals new to the sector, including adult returners, and those undergoing a career change. This course provides essential knowledge and concepts to individuals considering employment in health and social care.

The program introduces learners to key aspects of the adult social care sector, including job roles, services, communication, and the importance of valuing individuals receiving care. By completing this qualification, individuals gain foundational knowledge to prepare them for employment in the sector and further studies in health and social care.

What next?
It is anticipated that learners who achieve the Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care will progress to either the Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care or the Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
Entry criteria
Learners must be aged 19 or above and have not previously completed a similar qualification to qualify for funding. Some courses may have additional specific prerequisites. Please see fee information for funding requirements, or discuss upon enquiry.

These courses are government funded. To be able to study for free you must meet the following criteria:- You must currently live in England- You must have been a resident in the UK/EU for 3+ years for purposes other than study- You must be over the age of 19- You must not be an apprentice- You must not be currently studying another funded course.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
