If you have little to no knowledge of Polish, this course is an excellent starting point for your journey into learning the language! "Rusty" beginners—those who have learned some Polish but feel they need revision and practice—are also very welcome to join. If you anticipate that you might find the pace of a beginners course a bit too slow, we recommend exploring our more advanced Polish courses on our website.
If you have little or no previous knowledge of Polish, this course is an ideal introduction. It’s designed to help you build a strong foundation in the language, covering essential vocabulary and grammar to support simple conversation and everyday communication. "Rusty" beginners who have studied a little Polish in the past but need revision and practice are also warmly welcomed.

Throughout the course, you’ll learn how to introduce yourself and others, talk about friends and family, describe your surroundings - such as your classroom, home or town - and express likes and dislikes. You’ll also cover basic topics including colours, days of the week, months and simple time expressions.

In addition to vocabulary building, there is a strong focus on grammar and pronunciation. You will be introduced to the Polish alphabet, vowels and consonants, and develop confidence in using personal pronouns, understanding gender, forming questions and negations, and applying correct word order. The course also covers cardinal and ordinal numbers, and the basic parts of speech needed for simple sentence construction.

This welcoming and supportive course is a great first step into learning Polish. If you find the pace too gentle, we recommend looking into our more advanced Polish courses listed on the website.
