This all day workshop is an excellent opportunity to create a portrait in a day, whether you are new to drawing, an avid or accomplished artist.
You will explore a variety of drawing techniques and media, to create a large-scale portrait in a day. The finished product is inspired by artist Chuck Close who is an expert in large-scale portraiture.

"Free parking. No refreshments available at venue, please bring with you. The school have a Nut-Free Policy - no foods containting nuts."

None required for this course as it accommodates complete beginners or those with prior experience.

All materials will be supplied.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.

Learning & method assessment
The tutor will provide demonstrations and individual learner support to help you create your portrait. There will also be opportunities for peer assessments and presenting completed work at the end of the day.

To track your progress and achievement you will be required to complete a short document.
