This online workshop for parents of children in the Early Years (Nursery and Reception), looks at how we can develop early reading and writing skills through games, play, and everyday activities.

On this workshop we will cover:- What reading and writing looks like in schools for 3-5 year olds- An explanation of the key concepts of phonics, reading, motor skills, and writing- Lots of easy and fun ideas for developing early reading and writing skills- A reminder that reading and writing doesn't have to be learned sat at a table, that is can be relevant and fun!

The workshop will be held online using Teams.

Entry criteria
For parents and carers of primary age children.

Please note - you should be 19 years old or over at 31st August 2025 prior to starting the course.

Fee information
As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
