This workshop is for people who would like to learn Music Theatre Chorus songs from various musicals and in various styles based on participants’ choices in a relaxed environment with a very experienced singing educator. Work together with others to blend and express some of our most favourite numbers to enhance your well-being and confidence in expressing yourself through your voice with material tailored to you.
In order to avoid disappointment, it is advisable to enrol at least 2½ weeks prior to the course starting. We will confirm course information two weeks prior to the start date.

As part of the introduction, targeted physical, breathing, and vocal exercises will be used to help with the styles and techniques we will be covering in the day. The day will include a lot of singing together as a group but also will provide opportunities for solo work when appropriate as well as own choices of songs that will be arranged appropriately to the group. Both older and contemporary musicals can be covered.

Abingdon and Witney College are subject to Ofsted visits and have a responsibility to ensure we meet/exceed their requirements. Entry criteria
This course is aimed at enthusiasts of music theatre as a genre who wish to improve their chorus work skills and want to expand their knowledge of music theatre material and effective and expressive communication of these works. You do not need to have had a lot of experience singing in music theatre before. There are no entry requirements for this workshop.
Fee information
As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
