If you want to work in the music industry as an artist, producer, sound engineer or manager, this course is for you. Equipped to industry-standard, our Music Technology Suite at our Witney campus is the ideal place to explore your passion and take your skills to the next level.
Our Music Production courses offer an immersive and industry-focused experience, led by a highly-skilled team of teachers and technicians, who will encourage you to develop both your technical expertise and creative flair.

You will gain hands-on experience with professional-grade equipment including Logic Pro, DJ decks, studio mixing desks, and soundproofed recording rooms, all designed to mirror real-world music production environments.

Our curriculum spans Level 2 to Level 3, covering everything from sequencing and remixing to live sound engineering and multimedia composition. You will collaborate on projects, attend guest masterclasses, and participate in enrichment activities such as the Witney Music Festival and joint performances with Performing Arts. Alumni like Ellie Fletcher, now a solo artist and member of Crystal Fighters, and Jamie McKivitt, a technician for Bring Me The Horizon, exemplify the success our graduates achieve in the industry. With passionate tutors, a vibrant creative community, and a curriculum that blends innovation with practical rigour, our Music Production courses stand out as a launchpad for aspiring producers, engineers, and artists.

What next?
The two-year Level 3 Extended Diploma is equivalent to three A-levels and therefore will qualify students for entry to University and Music college. Alternatively for learners wishing to be self employed you could progress to the Level 4 Diploma in Creative Enterprise at Abingdon Campus.
Entry criteria
You must have a passion for music and either come prepared to audition or bring a portfolio / recording of your music to your interview. 5 GCSEs at grade 4 including English or Maths OR a pass in the subject at level 2, with English and Maths not lower than a grade 3/Functional Skills L2 and at least grade 4 in one of English or Maths.
Fee information
As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.

Learning & method assessment
All assessment is coursework based and there are no examinations on the vocational qualification.

Any re-takes of maths or English qualifications are assessed via examinations.
