The Entry Level 3 Vehicle Systems Maintenance Course will give you your first experience of working in the motor trade. Through a combination of practical and written assessments, learners will obtain knowledge, skills, and awareness to enable a positive start in their career within the motor trade.

Utilising the state-of-the-art facilities, you will learn and develop your technical practical and academic skills to aid in your career progress. This course centres on a range of units including Engine Operations Chassis and Transmissions, Wheels and Tyres, and Electrical Components. In addition to this, learners will complete other elements of the study programme including assignment workshop, tutorial, English and Maths and Work Experience. This will aid in the progression of our learners not only within college, but in their career development as well.

Learning & method assessment
A variety of assessment methods are used including observations of practical workshop tasks, practical task write ups which detail how the task was performed, written theory knowledge papers. These will challenge your understanding of the content and concepts of automotive engineering. If required you will also study GSCE English and/or maths to support your entry to employment, apprenticeship or further studies.
