Explore how the mind and body are deeply connected, how stress affects us physically and mentally, and learn practical self-care strategies to support overall health and wellbeing.
This course explores the science and experience of the mind-body connection, offering insights and strategies for better wellbeing through understanding and self-care.

- Explore the historical separation of mind and body

- Understand how the brain influences the body through the nervous and hormonal systems

- Learn how the brain reacts to protect us from physical and emotional threats

- Discuss the roles of the primitive and modern brain

- Examine the impact of stress hormones on the body

- Recognise the importance of listening to the body’s signals

- Discover practical self-care techniques for daily life

- Cover key lifestyle factors: sleep, diet, exercise, and mindfulness

The course will be held online using Teams and your tutor will email you calendar invites prior to classes.
