Level 4 provides a solid foundation in the engineering sector, with a focus on manufacturing engineering. The units are designed to:

• Prepare you for Level 5 studies or entry into employment. What You Will Gain:

Scientific and Engineering Knowledge: Broad understanding of essential concepts.

Behavioural and Transferable Skills: Communication, teamwork, research, and analysis. By the end of Level 4, you will have a sound knowledge of basic manufacturing engineering concepts and competence in subject-specific skills.

The programme focuses on developing essential skills through a balanced approach, emphasising knowledge (cognitive), behaviours (affective), and practical abilities (psychomotor). This encourages a hands-on and practical learning experience with a vocational emphasis.

The Level 4 HNC offers a strong foundation for students looking to advance in their studies or careers in Engineering.

Upon successful completion of the Level 4 HNC, students can:• Enter employment in the Engineering sector.• Continue in their current employment with enhanced skills.• Connect with relevant professional bodies.• Commit to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).• Progress to university for further academic advancement.

To apply for this course, applicants should meet one of the following criteria:
• Level 3 Qualification in any Engineering
• A Level Profile: Strong performance in a relevant subject, or adequate performance in multiple GCE subjects. Supported by GCSE grades A* to C (or equivalent) in subjects like Mathematics and English (grades 9 to 4 in the new grading system).
• Other Related Level 3 Qualifications
• Access to Higher Education Diploma: From an approved further education institution.
• Relevant Work Experience
• International Equivalent: To the above qualifications.

Tuition Fee: £6,000 total/ £3,000 per year

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
