This qualification helps you to develop the knowledge and practical skills required to professionally carry out inspection and testing on electrical installations. This course is intended for electricians that hold relevant Level 3 Electrotechnical qualifications, who want to undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD), learn new skills, and enhance their understanding of initial and periodic inspection and testing of electrical installations.
Course Dates for 2025:

14th-18th April, 12th-16th May, and 23rd-27th June

The City & Guilds 2391-52 qualification covers essential aspects of electrical inspection and testing. Key topics include:

Initial Verification:• Procedures for verifying new electrical installations, and additions to existing installations, before being put into service.• Completion of Electrical Installation Certificates (EIC) and associated documentation.• Completion of Minor Electrical Installation Works certificates (MEIWC)

Periodic Inspection and Testing:• Procedures for verifying the continued safety and performance of existing installations.• Completion of Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR) and associated documentation.

Participants must be 18 or over.

This qualification is intended for practising electricians, holding a relevant level 3 qualification (such as C&G 2365/2357/2330/8282/5357/5393, equivalent historic qualifications or other awarding organisation equivalent).
