This course will provide you with sector awareness in Cyber Security and as a stepping stone to further study.

The target learner for this qualification will be an individual looking to gain a greater understanding or build upon their existing knowledge of Cyber Security issues. This will likely be with a view to studying the subject at a higher level and/or seeking employment in a Cyber Security related role.

This course will provide you with sector awareness by introducing the knowledge and understanding in roles and issues relating to Cyber Security. The course can also act as a stepping stone that will lead to studying Cyber Security at a higher level.

Learners who achieve this qualification could progress to:

•Level 3 Diploma in IT User Skills
•Level 3 Award in Cyber Security Leadership
•Level 3 Foundation Technical Level IT: Cyber Security.
Entry criteria
Learners must be aged 19 or above and have not previously completed a similar qualification to qualify for funding. Some courses may have additional specific prerequisites. Please see fee information for funding requirements, or discuss upon enquiry.

These courses are government funded. To be able to study for free you must meet the following criteria:- You must currently live in England- You must have been a resident in the UK/EU for 3+ years for purposes other than study- You must be over the age of 19- You must not be an apprentice- You must not be currently studying another funded course.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
