Develop the knowledge to support energy-efficient retrofit projects
The Level 2 Award in Retrofit (C&G 7618-02) is designed for those looking to understand the principles of domestic retrofit and the role it plays in improving the energy efficiency of existing homes. As the UK works towards net-zero carbon targets, retrofit has become a key focus within the construction and building services sectors. This qualification provides learners with a broad understanding of retrofit measures, energy efficiency improvements, building performance, and the importance of delivering high-quality retrofit projects. It is ideal for individuals who want to develop their knowledge of retrofit and explore opportunities within this growing area of the industry.

Important: This course will run Thursday, Friday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. There will be no class on Tuesday.

Course units
The course covers the principles of retrofit, energy efficiency, sustainability, building performance, the impact of climate change, retrofit measures, domestic building construction, occupant comfort, and the importance of quality assurance within retrofit projects. Learners will gain an understanding of how improvements to existing homes can help reduce energy consumption, lower carbon emissions, and enhance living conditions.
