The construction industry is evolving, and retrofit is at the heart of the UK’s strategy to reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency in buildings. The City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Retrofit provides a solid foundation in retrofit awareness, helping learners understand the principles, processes, and roles involved in upgrading existing buildings for a greener future.

Whether you're new to construction or an experienced tradesperson (plumber, electrician, plasterer, joiner, etc.), this course introduces you to the fast-growing retrofit sector and prepares you for further training or employment in roles aligned with PAS 2035 standards.

Course units
You’ll study the following key areas:
