Start your journey into sustainable construction.
The construction industry is evolving, and retrofit is at the heart of the UK’s strategy to reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency in buildings. The City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Retrofit provides a solid foundation in retrofit awareness, helping learners understand the principles, processes, and roles involved in upgrading existing buildings for a greener future.

Whether you're new to construction or an experienced tradesperson (plumber, electrician, plasterer, joiner, etc.), this course introduces you to the fast-growing retrofit sector and prepares you for further training or employment in roles aligned with PAS 2035 standards.

Course units
You’ll study the following key areas:

• Introduction to retrofit and its importance in reducing carbon emissions

• The roles and responsibilities within a retrofit project

• Understanding the PAS 2035 framework and compliance

• Health and safety considerations in retrofit work
