The course focuses on helping you get by in real-life Italian-speaking environments, with an emphasis on building confidence in everyday conversation. You’ll cover practical topics relevant to home and work life, including countries and nationalities, talking about jobs, expressing opinions about your work and discussing pay.

You will extend your knowledge of numbers to include thousands and millions, and learn how to use proportions and percentages in everyday contexts. The course also builds on the basic grammar introduced in Improvers A, developing your understanding of tenses, word order and sentence construction.

Through a mix of speaking, listening, reading and writing activities, you’ll practise picking out key information from short texts on contemporary topics and learn to communicate more effectively and accurately. By the end of the course, you’ll feel more confident using Italian in a wider range of situations.
