This course follows on from the Italian Beginners B course. The Beginners C course is for those who are not complete beginners. The main aim is to help you to ‘get by’ in an Italian speaking environment. This may be a good place for those “Rusty” beginners who have learned little Italian but have also got the confidence to work at a slightly faster pace than the Italian Beginners B course.
You will become more confident in spoken Italian in a range of everyday situations covering topics relevant to both home and work life including:

• Telling the time using the 12h and 24 clock • Places in town • Opening times • Dates • Daily routine

You will build on the introduction to basic grammar covered in the previous course and further deepen your ability to understand and apply a range of grammatical concepts including tenses and word order. You will also be looking at and picking out the main points from short texts on contemporary subjects.

There is parking on site, although limited, but plenty of parking in local car parks nearby.There are vending machines on site.Please note there will be no classes on 05/05/2026 and 26/05/2026.

Italian – Improvers Level A
Entry criteria
There are no formal entry requirements for this course. The standard approximates to the Common European Framework Level A1. It is strongly recommended however for those who are new to the language that you have completed the Italian beginners B course. If you are a “Rusty” beginner, it is recommended that you speak to one of our tutors who will be able to assess the appropriate level of course for you.
Fee information
As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
