Learn how to make existing, established street food style dishes from North India. For the duration of the course, you will have the opportunity to observe a tutor led, master class where you will learn about spices and regional dishes of India. With guidance and support from our experienced tutor you will be able to cook a new dish each week to take home and enjoy with your family.
Your teacher has 60 years of home-cooking experience behind her, and more than 20 years of teaching in Oxfordshire. Her dedication to spreading Indian vegetarian food led her to start up her own food brand with her family ‘Holy Cow’ curry sauces. Each week you will explore and complete the following:• Pakoras• Aloo tikki • Samosas• Jalebi• Choley puri • Bread pakoras • Papri chat• Dal Vada• Dahi Bhalla & mater chaat

What next?
Learners can join the Indian Vegetarian Beginners or Improvers courses or other available cookery courses with Oxfordshire Adult learning.
Entry criteria
No prior knowledge of Indian cooking required.

Please note - you should be 19 years old or over at 31st August 2026 prior to starting the course.

Ingredients costs £20 or less (approx.) for ingredients, per lesson.This course/workshop includes a material fee that provides essential resources and hands-on demonstrations, empowering you to achieve your learning goals and master new skills with confidence.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
