Join us on this Indian Vegetarian Beginner’s course to learn about and make exciting, homemade style dishes from North India.
Learners will have the opportunity to make a wide variety of Indian vegetarian dishes each week. There will also be opportunities to explore and use different spices and breads of India.

Course content: Week 1 - Pakoras Week 2 - Aloo Parontha  Week 3 - Rice and Dal Week 4 - Saag Aloo Week 5 - Chana Masala  Week 6 - Aubergine and Potatoes curry  Week 7 - potatoes curry and Puri Week 8 - Gobhi - Aloo Week 9 - Tomatoes curry and Khichdi

We will send ingredients/equipment lists that you need to bring each week.

There will be no class during half-term.Free parking. No refreshments available at venue, please bring with you. The school have a Nut-Free Policy - no foods containing nuts.

What next?
Learners can join the improvers class or attend other cookery courses with Oxfordshire Adult Learning.
Entry criteria
No prior knowledge of Indian cookery required.

Please note - you should be 19 years old or over at 31st August 2026 prior to starting the course.

Fee information
You will need to bring your own ingredients each week. Ingredient costs £20 (approx.) for ingredients, per lesson. This course includes a material fee that provides essential resources and hands-on demonstrations, empowering you to achieve your learning goals and master new skills with confidence.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
