Have you been thinking about starting your own business? Have you got an idea for a product or service that you would like to launch? Maybe you just want to work for yourself but haven’t got the knowledge or confidence to take it that one step further? This course is perfect for you! Our skilled tutor will give you all the information you need to kick start your business.
This six-week courses offers a brilliant starting point for those considering starting their own business. It can help you work out what product or services you want to offer, establish a business plan, register your business, advertise your business on social media, and learn how to raise capital and take care of your finances.

You will cover the following topics: Week one: What is your product or service? Ideas, market research and stage. Week two: Business Plan. What? Why? How? Week three: Register your Business, Trademarks & Business Structure. Week four: Raising capital Small. Week five: Accounting & The team Week six: Promoting your business social media, Marketing, advertising

No previous knowledge or experience necessary. All welcome.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.

Learning & method assessment
This course has no formal assessment and your progress is monitored by the course tutor via group discussions, feedback, mini tests, projects and some written homework. The tutor will be available to support you throughout.

As this is a non-accredited course, there is no formal qualification. To track your progress and achievement you will be required to complete a short document.
