Abingdon & Witney College works in partnership with Lee Stafford and we are proud to be home to the only Lee Stafford Hair & Beauty Academy in Oxfordshire. If you’re interested in a career in a salon environment, there’s no better place than the Lee Stafford Academy.
This exciting course will allow you to develop your creative practical skills and teach you the theory alongside the practical units. You will learn specially designed ‘recipes’ which are unique to Lee Stafford Education, reflecting some of the most cutting-edge styles seen in salons across the UK. This qualification has been specifically designed to enable you to build on existing knowledge and understanding of hairdressing and develop an enhanced repertoire of technical skills to prepare you for employment as a senior hairdresser/stylist. You will work in, and have your hairdressing skills assessed in a 'real' commercial salon.
Course units
The teaching team will guide and support you fully to build your confidence and experience when providing hairdressing services like styling, cutting and colouring. You will work on live models throughout. You will also build an online portfolio of internally set written work, externally set multiple choice exams and client case studies.
What next?
This course is ideal for developing your skills in hairdressing and English and maths before progressing into a salon. If you feel like you want more training you can look into Beauty or Barbering courses to gain more qualifications.
Entry criteria
A Level 2 Hairdressing qualification. Applicants will be required to attend 12 hours per week details of which will be discussed at interview.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
