A perfect introduction on learning how to play simple tunes on a guitar.
On this course you will learn the basics that you need to play simple tunes on a guitar.

You will cover:- Basic guitar chords- Tuning an acoustic guitar- Correct hand placement- How to read music

You will work on a group piece as well as receiving individual feedback. By the end of this course learners will be able to:- Play along with some modern songs- Read TAB music and chord charts - Have an understanding of the guitar neck and the basic concepts of music theory.

Please note you will need to bring your own guitar.

Learning & method assessment
The course will include a mixture of demonstration, observation and practical exercises. The tutor will be available to guide and support you throughout.

As this is a non-accredited course, there is no formal qualification. To track your progress and achievement you will be required to complete a short document.
