This is the follow-on course from your Intermediate B course where you will continue to work on and improve your conversational skills as well as your understanding of dialogues and texts. The main aim of the course is to enable you to make yourself understood in a range of increasingly unpredictable everyday situations and to be able to participate in a conversation with another speaker of this language.
During this course you will work to improve your listening skills, develop a deeper understanding of grammatical structures, expand your vocabulary and increase your confidence in using the language in situations such as:

• talk about cultural events (concerts, shows, etc) and extract information about them from different sources (leaflets, radio etc) • talk about obligations at the work environment or at home• talk about possibility and probability• express and ask for personal opinions (eg. talk about a film, travel destinations and tv programmes)

Greek - Higher Intermediate A
Entry criteria
This course is designed for students who have completed the second part of the Intermediate level (Intermediate B) or who studied Greek for almost three academic years and can use accurately a variety of tenses to talk about present, past and future events. The standard approximates to Level A2 in terms of the Common European Framework.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.

Learning & method assessment
Learning activities will mainly be organised in pair work/small groups. Homework every week will be based on a summary sheet of the lesson for you to review in your own time. There will be no formal examination. To track your progress and achievement you will be required to complete a short document.
