Gosford Hill SchoolProject 2:You will learn techniques to design your own sheet of art glass. How to assemble your glass and the end results will be discussed. The '6mm rule' will be explained and applied. You will have the opportunity to experiment with a variety of glass materials including frits, confetti, etc. and even melting stringers over a flame. This will then be used to form a slumped bowl or platter. This project will include two firing processes; Fusing and Slumping. Suitable moulds will be discussed and prepared for the slumping process. Firing schedules for glass will be explained.

As part of your course we may organise trips to assist you with your learning. Trips are optional, and you will not be penalised if you choose not to participate.
